Are you a first time chiropractic patient? Here are some commonly asked questions

Is Chiropractic safe?

Yes! Chiropractic is a conservative and non-invasive approach to the treatment of your body’s aches and pains. Chiropractors undergo intense training, have extensive knowledge on human anatomy and biomechanics and are highly qualified to perform the most effective techniques to help you get better, faster – without the negative side effects of taking pain medication for long periods of time.

What does a Chiropractor treat?

Chiropractic can be used for the treatment of various conditions throughout the body. This is not limited to the back and neck, but includes treatment of the soft tissues and joints of the arms and legs too. A few common examples include muscle strain, ligament sprain, locked neck or back, whiplash, stress related muscle tension, sports related injuries, chronic headaches, posture related back pain, nerve impingements, sciatica, rotator cuff syndrome, tennis elbow, and many many more. If in doubt, contact your chiropractor to find out more.

Am I a candidate for chiropractic treatment?

This is determined, by your chiropractor, through a complete clinical assessment performed during your initial chiropractic appointment. If you are not suited for chiropractic care, or if you require medical treatment beyond the scope of chiropractic, you will be referred to the appropriate specialist or practitioner.
